Privacy policy.

The short version. Your Finds are yours. We don’t sell them, mine them, train models on them, or rent them to advertisers. We store what we need to make the app work — and nothing we’d be embarrassed by.
This policy explains what Finds (“we,” “us”) collects when you use nicefinds.app and the Finds mobile app, why we collect it, who can see it, and the rights you have over it.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your email address, and (if you set one) a display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google; we never receive your Google password.
- The Finds you save — the URL or content you send in, plus the title, category, note, and visibility you choose.
- Crew membership — who you’ve invited to share a library with, and who invited you.
- Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep only a subscription status and customer reference.
Information created as you use Finds
- Enrichment results — when you save a link, our server fetches that page and sends its text and metadata to an AI model to extract structured fields (title, category, ingredients, hours, and so on). We keep the result, not a record of your browsing.
- Usage metadata — when a Find was captured, its category, and similar housekeeping needed to render your library.
- Diagnostics — limited error reports (via Sentry) to fix crashes. We do not attach advertising identifiers.
What we don’t collect
No third-party advertising trackers. No advertising SDKs. No “anonymized” data resale. No selling your data, ever — full stop. We do not build a profile of you for marketing, and we do not use your saved content to train AI models.
How we use it
- To run the app — store your Finds, enrich them, and show them to you and your Crew.
- To process your subscription and send transactional email (sign-in codes, receipts, invites, trial reminders).
- To keep Finds secure, debug problems, and prevent abuse.
- To respond when you contact support.
For users in the EU/UK, our legal bases are contract (running the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (security and product reliability), and consent where required.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your data. We share it only with the service providers that make Finds run, each bound to protect it:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Anthropic — the AI model that enriches your saved links. Content sent for enrichment is not used to train their models.
- Google Maps / Places — to resolve places you save to a map pin and address.
- Stripe — subscription billing.
- Sentry — error diagnostics.
Within Finds, your Finds are visible to you, the members of your Crew, and a small number of Finds staff who need access to fix bugs and answer support. Finds you mark private are visible only to you — not even your Crew. We may also disclose data if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your data until you delete it. If you cancel your subscription, your library stays available to you. If you delete your account, we erase your personal data and your Finds within 30 days, except where we’re legally required to retain certain records (e.g. tax records for payments).
Your rights
- Access & export — download a copy of your Finds at any time.
- Correction — edit your account details and your Finds in the app.
- Deletion — delete your account and everything in it.
- Objection / restriction — for EU/UK/California residents, the rights granted by GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA apply. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of selling.
To exercise any of these, use the in-app controls or email privacy@nicefinds.app.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our infrastructure providers. Access controls (row-level security) ensure one Crew cannot read another’s library. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously and will notify affected users of any material breach as required by law.
Children
Finds is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country), and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 30 days ahead, and the date above will change.
